Mycologia Iranica is a double-blind, peer-reviewed research journal published, biannually by the Iranian Mycological Society (IrMS) since 2014. The journal provides a scholarly platform for original research articles and reviews covering all aspects of basic and applied mycology, including taxonomy, systematics, ecology, genetics, physiology, fungal plant pathology, biotechnology, geomycology, medical mycology, lichens, mycorrhizas, secondary metabolites, biodeterioration, and bioremediation.
While many published studies focus on regional and local datasets—reflecting the journal’s role in documenting and advancing mycological research in underrepresented regions—Mycologia Iranica actively encourages submissions that address broader scientific questions of international relevance. The journal is committed to expanding its international visibility and authorship through inclusive editorial policies, rigorous peer review, and open-access publishing.
Mycologia Iranica is an open-access journal with no Article Processing Charges (APCs), ensuring free and unrestricted access to published content worldwide. All articles are published in English to facilitate international communication and dissemination.
